About The Position

Seasons Kosher Supermarket is seeking a reliable, customer-focused full-time Deli Counter Clerk for the second shift at its Toms River location. The role involves preparing and serving deli products while keeping the department clean, organized, stocked, and compliant with food safety standards. The schedule is from 3 pm to closing.

Requirements

Prior deli experience.
Experience operating deli slicers and preparing deli products.
Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to work the second shift, from 3 pm to closing, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight as needed.
Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve sliced meats, cheeses, sandwiches, wraps, and platters.
Operate deli slicing machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Weigh, label, package, and prepare products for customer purchase.
Stock, rotate, and organize deli showcases and grab-and-go cases.
Check deli items for freshness and quality, removing products that do not meet standards.
Provide prompt, friendly, attentive customer service during evening and closing hours.
Complete end-of-day tasks, including cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing the department for the next day.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with team members to support efficient department operations.
Support additional store operations and perform other duties as assigned by management.
