About The Position

The Deli-Bakery/Dept Leader is responsible for creating outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service, establishing and maintaining a safe, clean, and fresh environment, and achieving sales and profit goals for the department. This role involves monitoring and controlling quality assurance standards, directing and supervising all functions and activities within the Deli/Bakery department, and supporting its day-to-day operations. The leader is expected to embrace the Customer 1st strategy, encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service, and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Smith’s Food and Drug, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and now serves customers in over 140 stores across multiple states. Responsibilities

  • Create outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, clean and fresh environment that encourages our customers to return.
  • Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department.
  • Monitor and control all established quality assurance standards.
  • Direct and supervise all functions, duties and activities for the Deli/Bakery department.
  • Support the day-to-day functions of the Deli/Bakery operations.
  • Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
