About The Position

The Bakery/Dept Leader is responsible for embracing the Customer 1st strategy to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. This role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment, achieving sales and profit goals, monitoring quality assurance standards, and directing, supporting, and supervising all functions of the Bakery department. The leader is also expected to role model the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Fred Meyer, based in Portland, Oregon, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and serves customers in over 120 stores across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. Responsibilities

  • Embrace the Customer 1st strategy to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return.
  • Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department.
  • Monitor and control all established quality assurance standards.
  • Direct, support and supervise all functions, duties and activities for the Bakery department.
  • Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
