About The Position

Under supervision of the Golf Operations Superintendent, the Deli Attendant provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service, displaying salesmanship and friendly hospitality while preparing, dispensing, and serving menu items, including alcoholic beverages, to customers. This role involves managing cash transactions, maintaining cleanliness, stocking, and ensuring product freshness and sanitation. The position also requires verifying customer age for alcohol sales and adhering to all local food establishment guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to properly handle money, give change, and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Present a positive, professional image with the ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
  • Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary.
  • Flexible availability including days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable attendance and proven dependability.
  • Ability to learn POS system.

Nice To Haves

  • Equivalent Work Experience preferred.
  • Food preparation experience helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides premier customer service, including greeting and responding to customer questions.
  • Dynamically sells product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions, to include alcoholic beverages.
  • Manages cash register and monetary transactions correctly.
  • Performs opening and closing duties as outlined by supervisor.
  • Maintains safety, cleanliness, and organization of all service, stockroom, and eating areas.
  • Stocks coolers with food and beverages on a daily basis.
  • Maintains a high standard for product freshness and sanitation.
  • Organizes inventory and makes recommendations for product purchases.
  • Verifies the age of customers when selling alcohol to ensure the customer is of legal age.
  • Successfully passes all legal requirements for food and/or alcohol handling.
  • Maintains a presentable, well-groomed appearance in appropriate attire.
  • Performs all work according to established procedures, including all local food establishment guidelines, to ensure that all inspections meet or exceed requirements.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
