About The Position

The Delegate Experience Collegiate Assistant - Advocacy and Literacy is primarily responsible for assisting the delegate experience program specialist with the logistics of the National FFA Convention & Expo Delegate Experience. This includes the days leading up to and during the National FFA Convention & Expo. In 2026, the in-person Delegate Experience would start on Sunday, October 18 and conclude on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The assistant may also be asked to assist virtually with clerical items prior to the in-person experience.

Requirements

  • Must have passion for or experience in the delegate experience.
  • Must be able to perform the mental and physical demands of the position.
  • Must have dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently in a frequently changing environment.
  • Must have good interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to interact and work with a diverse group of internal/external people.
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service to internal and/or external customers.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize, organize, use time-management skills and be adept at multi-tasking.
  • Must be accurate, detailed-oriented, and able to problem solve/analyze.
  • Must be computer literate and be able to make and receive phone calls.
  • Must be confident in speaking in front of small and large groups.
  • Must be able to confidently use Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc).
  • Must have personal access to, and be able to use, a computer or laptop.
  • Previous FFA experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous FFA delegate experience preferred.
  • Previous facilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with clerical tasks prior to and while onsite
  • Managing onsite delegate registration
  • Teaching delegate training curriculum
  • Assisting delegate coordinators with management of supplies and technology in the committee rooms
  • Set-up/teardown of delegate business sessions
  • Management of business session supplies and technology
  • Handling administrative tasks which include timely completion of expense reports, scheduling of their travel to and from convention, and correspondence with national FFA staff
  • Constantly working to improve the program and yourself as a leader
  • Other tasks as assigned
