About the Role The DB Senior Client Success Manager is the main client contact for complex deliverables and new products. They provide expert consultation, shape decisions, and uncover revenue growth opportunities by understanding client needs deeply. Additionally, they work with internal teams to convey Alight’s stance on legislative changes and engage in strategic client discussions.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in defined benefit plan administration.
  • 5+ years direct experience in client relationship and project management.
  • Possess the ability to work with and influence all areas of the client delivery business, across all stakeholders, and to best meet the outcomes for the client.
  • Possess the ability to anticipate the needs of client based on extensive DB and client knowledge.
  • Identify and lead team through changes, supporting the goals of the client.
  • Possess effective communication and influencing skills on domain and technical matters, internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as subject matter expert on defined benefit regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Effectively consult and present to external executive leader roles on plan design, administrative considerations, and legislative landscape.
  • Staying informed about market trends, legislative changes, and emerging technologies in the retirement benefits space.
  • Utilizing expert knowledge of DB to work with the client on difficult plan issues. We then work to provide guidance on complex plan changes or projects.
  • Managing in-year revenue growth with a focus on project work and upselling existing scope.
  • Managing to the client contract, and preserving contract margins including SLA adherence and E&O negotiations.
  • Partnering with Oversight & Excellence to reduce total cost. Doing this by identifying opportunities to reduce demand, improve delivery model cost, drive efficiency, and leverage scale.
  • Collaborating with Renewal Executives and Client Leader to prepare renewal. This includes gauging pulse of key stakeholders and decision-makers to expand or upsell current solution offerings.
  • Communicating regularly with clients at senior and executive levels of the organization on client delivery.
