Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a U.S. Navy Officer
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing capability gaps in line with fleet objectives
  • Experience creating robust test plans with clear hypotheses, metrics, and tactical scenarios to produce defensible data
  • Experience developing high-quality written analysis such as naval doctrine or concepts of operation that align with the Navy's strategic mission
  • Knowledge of the defense acquisition process, including OPNAV funding, development pathways, and the roles of program offices
  • Ability to build cross-organizational relationships to align technology investments with warfighter needs and accelerate capability delivery
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience serving on a numbered fleet or major staff
  • Ability to conduct capability assessments using the DOTMLPF-P framework and identify and mitigate associated technical, operational, and programmatic risks
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project timelines
  • Master’s degree
