About The Position

The Department of Defense (DoD) needs a Financial Analyst to navigate funding requirements, policies, and regulations to maximize the impact of DoD resources. As a Financial Planner on our team, you will support Joint Force Development by providing expertise in financial, programmatic, and business analysis to aid senior management in business decisions. You will apply functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), data entry, data analysis, and program management and finance. Your role will involve identifying, analyzing, and evaluating policies and processes related to DoD Training initiatives. You will plan, coordinate, and support meetings and planning events with global participants to enhance the use of joint training resources. You will contribute to resolving complex programmatic and financial problems using analytical judgment and proven practices. You will work independently with some guidance, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and meet strict deadlines. This position offers an opportunity to learn the laws, regulations, and policies that support the development of well-formed requirements and ensure efficient funding utilization through consistent tracking and communication with Joint Force senior leadership. Requirements

  • Experience supporting military headquarters in program financial management
  • Experience with financial execution of a spending plan within a DoD organization, including analysis of obligation plans versus obligations
  • Experience with monthly financial reporting
  • Experience with financial programming for operations, maintenance, research, development, testing, and evaluation funding
  • Experience with business and accounting processes and policy
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve program effectiveness and productivity
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, O365, and Microsoft Excel
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with financial execution, or 7+ years of experience with financial execution in lieu of a degree

  • Knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to joint training programs and related resources
