An exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated and experienced professionals is now available! Our Southport facility supports Grob G120A and C-90 King Air aircraft. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical) perform line and heavy maintenance and repairs. They are expected to demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and safety in performing the following tasks:

Requirements

  • Valid Transport Canada AME –M1 License
  • Ability and willingness to attain type endorsement
  • Valid passport and driver’s license
  • Able to travel by air on short notice
  • Grade 12 education or higher
  • Ability to work rotational Monday – Friday shifts including evenings
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and able to pass pre-employment medical exam
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and wiliness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Identify, obtain, use, and test appropriate tools for the jobs required
  • Complete daily inspections
  • Operate all ground equipment
  • Remove and install flight controls, engine components, propellers, landing gear, and tires
  • Functional operation of the aircraft and ability to perform run-ups
  • Perform rigging of engine and flight controls
  • Perform non-critical systems checks (i.e. oxygen, fuel)
  • Use trouble-shooting skills and information from customers to identify and locate problems
  • Apply a thorough understanding of systems: air-conditioning, hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, avionics, electrical generation, oxygen, fuel and pneumatics
  • Able to locate and correctly read applicable wiring and follow Standard Wiring Practices
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance is carried out in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations Transport Canada rules and regulations, type specific manuals, and the KF Aerospace Policy and Procedures Manual
