About The Position

The Default Manager will own the execution of critical strategy and operational direction of multiple functions and sub-functions relating to Default. Will direct activities that have a direct impact on the achievement of results for areas of responsibility and significant impact on the organization.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with FDCPA, TCPA, CFPB, and Consumer Privacy Laws.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience resulting in advanced knowledge of Defa.
  • 10+ years of applicable experience; 5 of which must have been in leadership.
  • Experience managing external relationships including vendor and client relationship.
  • Extraordinary intellectual horsepower and relentless drive for continuous improvement; operates with a sense of urgency and bias for action.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communications skills with internal and external stake holders (clients, vendors, etc.).
  • Courage to raise concerns and issues that need to be addressed to ensure sound internal controls, risk reduction and reporting accuracy; ability to make tough decisions.
  • Prior success in building strong relationships across an organization beyond the area(s) of responsibility.
  • Outstanding proficiency in critical thinking, problem solving and connecting dots; ability to drill down to true root cause on issues and locations.
  • You have a strong ability to recognize, attract, and develop high performers.
  • You will consistently collaborate and partner with cross-function teams and leaders.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and distribute workload for optimum efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to motivate staff to achieve their goals.
  • Flexibility to engage remote team members to perform at their best.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Reverse Mortgage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure representatives are managing anywhere from 50 - 100 calls per day based on call volume.
  • Maintain acceptable levels of service both in productivity and quality.
  • Maintain an impeccable attendance record.
  • Knowledge of HECM products.
  • Hold staff and vendors accountable to SLAs.
  • Complaint review for areas of opportunity.
  • Push efficiencies to reduce manual work.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to Executive Management and other leadership.
  • Will oversee the Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation, and Due & Payable, and Non-borrowing Spouse.
  • Will make critical decisions that impact the operational strategies and overall goals in areas of responsibilities.
  • Will collaborate with other areas as needed on items that intersect Default work with other staff groups.
  • Will work towards continuous improvement.
  • Will direct the work of others to achieve results.
  • Will collaborate directly with clients and vendors to ensure we are maximizing financials goals of both.
