About The Position

Must be skilled in the assistance and help of deep foundation installation including, but not limited to timber piles, concrete piles, sheet piles, drill shafts, auger cast, etc. Must also be experienced in erecting, disassemble, and working with and around pile driving equipment. Must also have basic rigging knowledge and perform general construction duties.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industrial field experience as a Pile Driver Helper.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to use tools and equipment necessary to complete the job task at hand.
• Must hold a valid TWIC Card.
• Must hold a valid OSHA Basic Plus.
• Must be able to pass all Safety Council related courses.
• Must undergo Pre-Employment Screening (physical, drug & alcohol screen, audiogram, fit test if applicable).
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License to operate company equipment and/or vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Willingness to learn.
• Basic rigging knowledge.
• Encouraged to hold NCCER Basic Rigger Certification or willing to test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all essential functions.
• Erect and dismantle lattice boom cranes.
• Obtain necessary tools and components and the lay out of work.
• Interpret hand signals in order to direct cranes for pile driving activities.
• Follow instructions.
• Prepare, align, plumb, set, stress, test, pull, weld, cut off and cap piling of any type including steel pile and concrete pile and the splicing, barking, heading and shoeing of piling and the rigging and signaling connected with all of the above.
• Perform physical labor that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials at construction sites.
• Use safety gear and practice safe work habits, per the company policy manual.
• Rig equipment and material to be set into place.
• Use tools and equipment necessary to complete the job task at hand.
• Work in adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.).
