About The Position

As a Deep Cleaner for dnata Catering, your primary responsibility is to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the catering facility. You will be responsible for deep cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, surfaces, and utensils to meet food safety standards and regulations. Your attention to detail is crucial in ensuring that all areas, including storage rooms, refrigerators, and freezers, are thoroughly cleaned, and maintained. Additionally, you will be responsible for disposing of waste and maintaining proper recycling protocols. Your role will contribute to maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for food preparation, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards for the catering facility. Your dedication to cleanliness, adherence to cleaning protocols, and ability to work independently will be key to the success of dnata Catering.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years’ experience in deep cleaning/ housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience
  • Knowledge of power and non-power equipment, and machinery required to perform tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and self-organized
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move 30+ lbs. as needed
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.
  • This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established rules of the facility for entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by facility management.
  • Comply with company implemented sanitation Standard Operating Procedures including the company’s HACCP Plan and Good Manufacturing Practices which maintains the company’s compliance with USDA regulations.
  • Clean all equipment and tabletops in the hot/cold kitchen.
  • Sanitize all interior areas within facility, floors, and external property.
  • Handle disposal of all waste products. International trash and garbage to be disposed of according to regulations.
  • Ensure that spills are promptly mopped up and floors are kept dry and degreased to minimize slips and falls due to wet floors.
  • Use proper detergents and degreasing solvents to maintain safe working environment for all production areas and maintain use and proper storage of sanitation chemicals and equipment.
  • Sanitize all restrooms and areas of common personnel traffic, including walls.
  • Empty and clean refuse containers and dispose of refuse in proper bins for later removal.
  • Cleaning of all pots and pans
  • Assist with placement of office equipment and furniture and kitchen equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.
