About The Position

The Deep Cleaner cleans and maintains floors and other surfaces in restrooms, on the casino gaming floor, and in back-of-house areas. The role requires extensive knowledge of floor-care equipment, cleaning processes and procedures, and chemical usage. The Deep Cleaner provides excellent customer service to employees, vendors, guests, and co-workers, and performs duties according to Horseshoe Indianapolis policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Regulations. This position does not involve functions related to casino gambling by patrons.

Requirements

• Experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or housekeeping is preferred.
• May require a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing Commission (IHRC) license.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must be available to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps, and sitting.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a highly populated, fast-paced, and noisy environment.
• Requires access to the gaming floor.
• Must be able to work in a smoking establishment.

Responsibilities

• Clean all surfaces in restrooms, casino gaming-floor areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Use floor-care equipment to maintain all flooring.
• Foster a fun environment and be gracious to guests and co-workers.
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events.
• Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
