About The Position

Serve as driver's supervisor/representative in Operations. Manage drivers performance in identified categories and be primary communication link to drivers. Work to achieve optimum driver and customer satisfaction. This role involves daily interaction with drivers, other operations staff, and management via qualcomm, telephone, and in person. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and handle multiple varied tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole communications link to drivers, including load information, advances, purchase orders, maintenance coordination, performance counseling, and dissemination of general company news and information.
• Manage an assigned full fleet of tractors and drivers for optimum performance in on-time pickup and delivery, out of route miles, hours of service compliance, driver availability, accommodation of special routing needs, and cost control.
• Ensure drivers have an adequate understanding of all details of customer and company expectations for each load at the point of dispatch.
• Perform daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by authorized personnel.
