About The Position

Seastreak provides fast passenger ferry services in the New York metropolitan area, offering high-speed catamaran services to various destinations including Manhattan, central New Jersey, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard. In addition to commuter services, Seastreak offers special events, sightseeing cruises, daytrips, and getaways year-round. Deckhands / Crew members operate and maintain equipment on the deck of a vessel to assist with docking and other operations. Responsibilities include greeting passengers, collecting tickets, throwing lines, participating in safety training, and ensuring the safety of our passengers. Your job as deckhand will also include working within Seastreak’s Ferry Safety Management System. Deckhands are expected to provide exemplary customer service and follow the directions of the Captain and Mate.

Requirements

High School diploma required
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug test and enroll in Seastreak's random drug testing program required by the United States Coast Guard
Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) or already possess one. Certain criminal records may exclude you from this.
