About The Position

Ponte Family Estate Winery, established in 2003, is a California-based winery located in Temecula Wine Country. With vineyards farmed since 1984, the winery is a working facility that produces over 20 estate-grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid Riverside Food Handler Card Required.
  • Valid ABC RBS Certification Required.
  • Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow direction and abide by standards.
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional grooming standards consistent with company guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality and able to work with little direction.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Willingness to assist co-workers and be a team player.
  • Must be available weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend and stand for long periods of time in hot conditions, and walk and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of wine and beer.
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry wine cases up to 50lbs several times in a shift.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve wine and beer to guests while providing friendly, attentive customer service.
  • Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to ensure efficiency and report concerns.
  • Assist in setup/reset for the Deck.
  • Assist fellow associates as needed and be a team player.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness.
  • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests.
  • Inform guests of drink choices and answer questions.
  • Take down food orders and pass tickets to the runner/kitchen.
  • Serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.
  • Make suggestions to guests based on common knowledge of wine and beer.
  • Monitor bar inventory and report to Banquet Manager/Captain.
  • Ensure accuracy of wine and beer inventory at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform side work.
  • Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in reset for meetings and events.
  • Thank guests and invite them to return.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by Management.
