About The Position

The Full Time Deck Attendant coordinates the general upkeep, cleaning, maintenance, and organization of the pools, waterslides, spas, and pool deck areas, while ensuring the safety and security of the pool area. This role requires a passionate individual who enjoys promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere while providing excellent customer service. The position is with The Palm Canyon Resort, a 261-room resort in Palm Springs, and is part of the Hilton family.

Requirements

Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relation.
Able to use sound judgment; work independently, with minimal direction.
All U.S. hourly Team Members not represented by a labor organization or subject to collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

Ensures proper set up of pool furniture and pool towels.
Ensures compliance with pool rules and confirms access to pool area is limited to authorized guests.
Provides exceptional guest service (assists guests with towels, drinking water, etc.).
Responds to calls and questions from members, owners, guests, and departments.
Engages with members, owners, and guests during activities.
Ensures the safety of members, owners, and guests.
Recognizes and immediately reports all potential emergency situations.
Follows all state and federal policies, rules, and regulations.
