Decision Intelligence Analyst
About The Position
CAPITAL Services is seeking a Decision Intelligence Analyst to join its Portfolio Analytics and Risk team. The team uses data to optimize cardholder interactions across touch points and support better business decisions. This onsite role is based at the company’s Sioux Falls, South Dakota site. A significant portion of the position involves recurring monthly forecasting, planning, and reporting. The analyst will develop expertise in acquisition performance and use data-driven analysis to inform decisions for the organization and its customers. The role includes evaluating direct mail and digital acquisition campaigns, monitoring performance and trends, supporting testing, and translating analytical findings into business and strategic insights.
Requirements
- Completed a four-year degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Comfort working with large datasets and analytical tools such as SQL, R, Python, or SAS.
- Curiosity and drive to understand how things work, identify what drives results, and find answers when something is unfamiliar.
- Ability to balance recurring responsibilities with analytical investigation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable work.
- Ability to assess how changes in products, strategies, and testing initiatives affect performance and incorporate those factors into future forecasting assumptions.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enjoyment of collaborating with teammates to solve business challenges.

Responsibilities
- Forecast expected performance for direct mail and digital acquisition campaigns.
- Support acquisition planning by documenting strategies, coordinating products, and incorporating testing plans.
- Execute prospect selection processes for direct mail campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance and identify drivers of changing results.
- Compare actual performance with forecasts and improve forecasting methodologies over time.
- Support the acquisition testing program and monitor test results.
- Evaluate digital acquisition performance and provide channel mix recommendations.
- Monitor broader acquisition and portfolio performance trends.
- Conduct analysis and translate findings into insights that support business and strategic decision-making.
