About The Position

The Deburr Operator is responsible for deburring complex parts with end mills, sandpaper, and other finishing tools as necessary. This role involves performing equipment parts cleaning, reading blueprints/job orders for product specifications, and utilizing inspection equipment. The operator will create optimal surface finish conditions and remove burrs on components per instructions, while complying with quality systems and safety guidelines. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be able to use repetitive wrist, hand, and arm motions.
• Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
• Hand eye coordination must be used in high pressure situations along with quick reaction times.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma Preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience in the aerospace industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Deburr complex parts with end mills, sandpaper, and other finishing tools as necessary
• Perform equipment parts cleaning operation
• Read blueprints/job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to deburr small components to required specifications and tolerances
• Properly utilize inspection equipment including micrometers and calipers
• Sort, inspect and hand wash parts when required
• Create optimal surface finish conditions and remove burrs on components using hard tools and automated equipment per blueprint or verbal instructions.
• Complies with MMC quality systems, including correctly completing all related documents.
• Follow all safety guidelines established by the company.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
