About The Position

Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products. Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications. The operator will be responsible for the blending of lines using multiple sanding tools to meet engineering requirements. The operator must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination and good hand dexterity. Must be able to lift and move parts using required safety and material handling techniques. Must be able to work in a standing position up to 10 hours. Must be safety oriented and follow safety policy.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to work in standing position up to 10 hours.
• Must be proficient in basic shop math and computer experience.
• Must be safety oriented and follow safety policy.
• Excellent hand to eye coordination and good hand dexterity.
• Able to lift and move parts using required safety and material handling techniques.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities
