About The Position

The Debug Technician will be responsible for performing advanced board-level troubleshooting and component-level debug on complex multi-layer server and data center PCBAs. This includes working with CPU, GPU, FPGA, ASIC, memory, and power subsystems. The role involves diagnosing high-speed signal, power distribution, and mixed-signal circuits using various diagnostic tools and utilities. The technician will also utilize advanced test equipment for testing and analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience running a lab doing deep component level PCB testing.
  • Ability to run a lab doing deep component level PCB testing.
  • Perform advanced board-level troubleshooting and component-level debug on complex multi-layer server and data center PCBAs, including CPU, GPU, FPGA, ASIC, memory, and power subsystems.
  • Diagnose high-speed signal, power distribution, and mixed-signal circuits using schematics, PCB layout files, POST codes, BMC logs, boundary scan, and diagnostic utilities.
  • Utilize advanced test equipment including high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and automated test platforms.
  • Candidates need to travel to Guadalajara Mexico for 60 days of on-job training before starting in Memphis.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise server, storage, or networking hardware repair.
  • Strong understanding of server power architecture, VRMs, power sequencing, and high-speed signal integrity fundamentals.
  • Experience with BGA rework, PCIe interfaces, and high-speed interconnects.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and PCB layout files.
