About The Position

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Debug Engineer Supervisor located in Milpitas, CA. Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager the Debug Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.

Requirements

  • BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 4-7 plus years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer electrical technologies.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong communication and management skillset including problem-solving technical issues on the floor to people relationship solutions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Impacts the near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function.
  • Creates functional processes or technologies.
  • Executes functional strategic plans and objectives at the site.
  • Demonstrates experience in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives.
  • Exercises independent judgment using ambiguously defined procedures and policies; may propose/provide input to defining methods, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Makes decisions for sections/sub-functions. Decisions may affect multiple sections/sub-functions.
  • Normally receives no instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a debugging team of up to 15 technicians, providing technical guidance and support to ensure efficient issue resolution.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee electronic hardware and software testing, ensuring proper test conditions, procedures, and operational sequences.
  • Analyze test results, evaluate product performance, and prepare technical reports, failure analyses, and summaries for engineering and management teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, purchasing, SQA, and production teams to troubleshoot system malfunctions, resolve testing issues, and address data interpretation concerns.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of test yield issues and product failures, develop corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support manufacturing operations by mentoring technicians and operators on test hardware, software, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Evaluate, configure, and troubleshoot digital circuits, including FPGA and BGA technologies, while identifying failure origins and allocating defect causes across process, material, or design-related sources.
