About The Position
Tyson Foods’ New Holland Complex is accepting applications for general labor positions. Team members must be willing to work in any processing department and on any available shift. The work involves cutting chicken with scissors and knives on a fast-moving processing line. Positions may be in cold, damp, hot, or humid environments, and walking surfaces may be slippery. Some departments are on a lower level and require using stairs; some work is performed on a platform or stand about two feet above floor level. Former Tyson team members must have been separated from the company for at least 180 calendar days to be eligible for rehire. Applicants who have worked at Tyson three or more times are not eligible for rehire. Applicants who do not meet these criteria will be removed from the application process. Applicants must complete the final task after submitting the application to be considered. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Certain roles may require a background check after an offer is extended.
Requirements
- Willingness to work in any processing department and on any available shift.
- Willingness to use scissors and knives to cut chicken.
- Ability to tolerate motion and work on a fast-moving processing line.
- Willingness and ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach.
- Willingness to lift; lifting weight depends on the work area.
- Willingness to work in cold, damp, hot, or humid environments and on potentially slippery surfaces.
- Willingness to walk up and down stairs and work on a stand or platform about two feet above floor level.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
