About The Position

Tyson Foods’ New Holland Complex is accepting applications for general labor positions. Team members must be willing to work in any processing department and on any available shift. Work involves processing-line tasks, which may include using scissors and knives to cut chicken. The position requires working in cold, damp, or hot and humid environments, sometimes on slippery surfaces, and may involve working on a platform approximately two feet above floor level or in departments on a lower level.

Requirements

Be willing to use scissors and knives to cut chicken.
Be able to tolerate motion and work on a fast-moving processing line.
Be willing to work on a stand or platform approximately two feet above floor level.
Be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach.
Be willing to lift items as required in the assigned area.
Be willing to work in cold, damp, or hot and humid environments, including areas with slippery walking surfaces.
Be willing to walk up and down stairs.
Meet the stated physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Former Tyson team members must have been separated from the company for at least 180 calendar days to be eligible for rehire.
Applicants who have worked at Tyson three times or more are not eligible for rehire.

Responsibilities

Work in any processing department and on any available shift.
Use scissors and knives to cut chicken.
Perform production work on a fast-moving processing line.
Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach as required.
Lift items as required in the assigned work area; the weight depends on the area.
Work on a platform approximately two feet above floor level.
Walk up and down stairs when assigned to departments on the lower level.
