About The Position

The Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University seeks applications for the Dean’s Executive Professor position for the 2025-26 academic year. This position will develop several undergraduate and graduate courses in business sustainability and subsequently be a primary instructor. The courses should be experiential and provide students with hands-on opportunities to explore how leading companies integrate sustainability into their business operations, strategies, and culture. The successful candidate should also have sufficient business experience (at an executive level) to be part of the teaching team involved with the Contemporary Business Issues (BUSB70) course.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree, along with relevant practical experience, is preferred.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Fulfilling all responsibilities associated with assigned courses, including: Preparing for and conducting all assigned class meetings, including lab sessions; Assigning and evaluating student work appropriately; Providing weekly on-campus office hours for consultation outside of class; Conducting and submitting course assessments as required by the department; Assigning student grades appropriately and submitting them to the Office of Student Records by the designated deadline; and Complying with university and school policies, including those delineated in the Leavey School of Business Term Faculty Handbook.
  • Fulfilling other instructional, academic, or service duties as assigned, including: Providing academic advising to students; Attending department and school meetings, and participating in school events such as Preview Day, Open House, etc., as requested.
