About The Position

Founders Academy is seeking a Dean of Students for the 26/27 school year. The Dean of Students will foster a safe, positive, and inclusive school culture by proactively supporting student behavior, restorative practices, and socio-emotional growth. Working collaboratively with teachers and families, this leader will work closely with the principal to implement student-centered interventions to ensure every young artist at Founders Academy can thrive personally, academically, and artistically.

Requirements

• RIDE middle grades/all grades teaching certification required.
• Strong, standards-based lesson planning and development skills.
• Student-centered approach.
• Commitment to being a participating team member.
• Believe that 100% of students can learn and be successful in an environment of mutual respect and inclusion.
• Embrace and support the diversity of our school community and encourage students as they develop their unique identities.
• Engage families as partners in student success while recognizing and respecting differences in family backgrounds, structures, and cultures.
• Results-driven, with excellent planning and organizing skills, and a collaborative attitude.
• Participate meaningfully in professional learning opportunities and enhance professional growth by giving and seeking assistance from others.

Nice To Haves

• RIDE K12 Building Administrator certification preferred.
• Middle School teaching experience preferred.
