About The Position

The Dean of Students and Title IX Coordinator provides leadership for student conduct, student support systems, and institutional compliance related to Title IX. This position is responsible for fostering a safe, engaging, and development-centered campus environment while promoting student accountability, supporting student well-being, and ensuring the University responds appropriately to reports of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. The position supports the holistic development of students, academically, socially, and spiritually, in alignment with the University’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of the student conduct process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and alignment with institutional policies
  • Investigate and adjudicate student behavioral concerns, including high-level disciplinary cases
  • Maintain and update the Student Handbook and related policies
  • Promote a culture of accountability that balances discipline with student development and restoration
  • Serve as the University’s Title IX Coordinator and oversee institutional compliance with Title IX regulations
  • Coordinate the response to reports of sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, stalking, dating violence, and related concerns
  • Ensure equitable, prompt, and thorough resolution processes in accordance with federal regulations and University policy
  • Coordinate supportive measures for students and employees involved in Title IX matters
  • Provide training and education to students, faculty, and staff regarding Title IX policies, prevention, and reporting obligations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Title IX reports, investigations, and resolutions
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, Human Resources, Campus Security, and external agencies as appropriate
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students in crisis or experiencing personal challenges
  • Collaborate with Counseling Services, Campus Security, and other departments to ensure student safety and support
  • Implement proactive strategies to support student success, retention, and well-being
  • Promote a positive campus culture grounded in the University’s values
  • Support programs that strengthen community, belonging, and student engagement across campus
  • Work closely with Student Life, Chapel leadership, Athletics, Academic Affairs, Human Resources, and other campus partners
  • Serve on university committees related to student experience, retention, campus safety, and compliance
  • Communicate regularly with university leadership regarding student trends, concerns, and initiatives
  • Maintain accurate student conduct and Title IX records and reporting systems
  • Assist in crisis response and institutional decision-making when needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations related to student welfare and Title IX
