The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) announces an opening for a Dean of Instructional Services, in STEM at East Los Angeles College (ELAC). The college is seeking a student-centered, innovative, and revenue-generating leader focused on growing, developing, and aligning our academic programs with the college’s goals in response to student and community needs, as well as supporting our college’s commitment to educating the more than 55,000 racially and socioeconomically diverse students we serve each year. ELAC is the largest of the nine colleges in the LACCD that serves East and Southeast Los Angeles with campuses in Monterey Park, South Gate, and Rosemead. Established in 1945, ELAC is designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) dedicated to providing the highest quality of transfer, non-credit programming, and community programming with the purpose of supporting students in achieving associate degrees, general education, skills certificates, workforce preparation, and/or personal development. The college seeks to fulfill the potential of each student through innovative teaching methods, the latest in educational technology, and committed support services.
