Southeastern Louisiana University's Division of Academic Affairs invites applications for the position of Dean of Research and Innovation. Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will provide leadership, vision, and oversight for the continued growth and advancement of the University's research enterprise, externally funded programs, and innovation initiatives. As a key member of the University's academic leadership team, the Dean will establish and implement strategic priorities that enhance Southeastern's competitiveness for external funding, elevate its research profile, and expand its impact throughout the region, state, and beyond. Working collaboratively with faculty, academic leaders, students, and external partners, the Dean will foster interdisciplinary research and scholarship, support faculty development and success in securing external funding, and promote student engagement in research and experiential learning. The Dean will cultivate partnerships with government agencies, industry, community organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen the University's research capacity, advance innovation and economic development initiatives, and contribute to workforce and community development. Through leadership, advocacy, and resource development, the Dean will champion a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and excellence, positioning Southeastern as a leading contributor to the regional and national knowledge economy while advancing the University's mission and strategic goals. The Dean serves on the University Research Council and works collaboratively with University leadership to advance research, innovation, and externally funded initiatives across the institution. The appointment is a 12-month position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
