Shoreline College seeks a Dean of Enrollment & Access who provides visionary leadership to the planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive student support, services, and programming designed to enhance the student experience. The Dean of Enrollment & Access serves as Shoreline College’s chief enrollment strategist and primary leader for all Strategic Enrollment Planning efforts. The Dean is accountable for developing, implementing, and assessing a comprehensive enrollment strategy that advances enrollment growth, student success, and equitable outcomes. Central to this work is the responsibility to identify, address, and eliminate systemic barriers that contribute to inequitable outcomes for BIPOC students and families and other historically underserved populations. The Dean ensures that all outreach, recruitment, admissions, enrollment, onboarding, financial aid, and access initiatives are guided by principles of equity, inclusion, belonging, and social justice. Additionally, the Dean will work collaboratively with internal and external partners and multiple college-wide initiatives to improve student success, retention, and completion. This Dean should be able to identify and mitigate the barriers to success that many students face and be passionate about creating an equitable learning environment that supports success for all students. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs the Dean is the College’s primary leader for Strategic Enrollment Planning and student access and leads development and execution of a comprehensive Strategic Enrollment Plan. This position provides leadership, vision, operational oversight, and management of Outreach & Recruitment, Enrollment Services (admissions, orientation, and registrar), Financial Aid, Advising & Running Start, Career Center, student accessibility and testing, three Welcome Desk hubs, High School Completion programs, Community Employment Program, and a variety of community engagement partner programs. In collaboration with the Dean of Student Engagement & Retention, serves as a leader within the Division of Student Affairs. This position also requires working closely with other leaders on large-scale visioning and strategy, as well as the implementation of initiatives that seek to enhance the student experience at Shoreline.
