The Dean, Allied Health - North Campus is responsible for leading the division of Allied Health. This role involves curriculum development, implementation, administration, planning, and scheduling. Key responsibilities include student advisement and retention, faculty recruitment, supervision, and development, strategic planning, budgeting, and interaction with external constituencies. The Dean also manages accreditation and licensing issues, develops strategies for student recruitment and retention, and provides leadership and administrative support to department chairs, faculty, and staff. This includes mentoring, participating in faculty selection, and directing faculty professional development. The Dean works with department chairs to enhance existing programs and develop new ones based on college needs, manages scheduling to maximize enrollment, and oversees curriculum review, program reviews, and student learning outcomes assessment. They also evaluate course and faculty performance, assess curriculum for market trends and compliance with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board guidelines, administer budgets, and develop partnerships with various entities. Additionally, the Dean supports advisory committee responsibilities, evaluates equipment needs, oversees grants, attends campus activities, works with community groups, and resolves conflicts involving faculty, staff, or students.
