About The Position

Nanuet Honda, powered by Lithia & Driveway, is hiring a Dealership Accountant I for its Accounting Processing Centers. The position supports dealership financial operations by processing accounting transactions and helping maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The role reports to the Business Manager and works with other accountants in an on-site office environment in Nanuet, New York. The target hiring range is $20.00–$25.00 per hour; the full compensation range is $16.85–$26.45, with actual compensation based on experience, skills, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Requirements

At least 1 year of accounting experience, with familiarity with chart of accounts, debits, and credits.
Entry- to mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of auto industry experience.
Retail sales or customer service experience.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Submit service contracts.
Submit warranty contracts.
Process new-car purchases and dealer trades.
Record used-car purchases.
Request and process lien payoffs.
Process cash receipts.
Conduct regional check runs.
Process and pay vendor invoices.
Complete FTC reconciliation.
Account for manufacturer monies, including parts, warranty, incentives, and miscellaneous items.
Post to intercompany accounts.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
