About The Position

Lafayette Federal Credit Union is seeking a Dealer Sales Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is responsible for leading the Indirect Auto Lending team to achieve production goals, strengthen dealer relationships, expand market presence, and drive indirect lending growth. The position provides oversight of dealer engagement activities while ensuring alignment with Lafayette Federal Credit Union's lending objectives, underwriting standards, and member service expectations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of indirect consumer lending experience.
  • Minimum three years of leadership or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of indirect auto lending and dealer relationship management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Residing in DC, MD, or VA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase indirect lending production and dealer penetration.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and dealer performance.
  • Expand and strengthen dealer relationships to support business growth.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement action plans to achieve goals.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for key dealer partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with dealership owners, managers, and finance teams.
  • Promote Lafayette Federal's lending programs and services.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Dealer Sales Representatives.
  • Establish performance expectations and monitor team results.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of indirect auto lending programs and underwriting guidelines.
  • Partner with lending operations and underwriting teams to support efficient loan processing.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare production reports, market analyses, and performance updates.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance efficiency and dealer satisfaction.
  • Utilize performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
