About The Position

The Dealer Relationship Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with auto and RV dealerships in the designated area. This role involves making sales calls, presenting to dealerships, handling issues between dealerships and ICCU, and researching new dealerships. The officer will also report on dealership success and efforts to grow business, and communicate specials and staffing changes with the buy center. Assistance to other Business Development team members may also be required.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills which include presentation and sales experience.

Credit Union service/product knowledge.
Independent, self-directed worker.
Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.
Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
Lifting 70-80 pounds (items include money machine, coolers, tables, and other miscellaneous equipment).
Extensive local travel, this is a driving position and a company vehicle is provided.
Adequate auto insurance for driving while conducting company business.
Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
Sit for extended periods of time.
Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
Reach keyboards.
Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
Must be eligible for membership at ICCU to obtain employment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with the auto and RV dealerships in the designated area.
Make sales calls and present to dealerships on a regular basis to develop long-term relationships.
Handle issues between the dealerships and ICCU quickly and in a professional manner.
Report on the success of your dealerships and the efforts you are making to grow business with those dealers.
Work closely with the buy center to communicate specials and staffing changes that happen at the dealerships.
Research and develop new dealerships.
Assist other Business Development team members when needed.
