About The Position

The District Finance Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day business development and sales activities across an assigned district, supporting dealership performance, OEM alignment, and customer relationship management. This role serves as a key liaison among dealerships, DTNA partners, and fleet customers, building and maintaining strong relationships with Dealer Principals, Chief Financial Officers, General Managers, F&I Managers, sales teams, and leasing managers. The position also collaborates closely with DTNA On-Highway and Vocational District Managers to ensure strategic alignment across dealer and district objectives. In addition, the District Finance Manager oversees pricing strategies for wholesale financing, capital loans, revolvers, dealer pledge lines, and fleet customer programs to drive profitable growth and competitive market positioning. This position is based in the Denver, Colorado area and requires 50 to 75% travel. District 14 includes CO, WY, MT, NM, NE, ND and SD.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in effectively building and maintaining relationships (internal and external contacts)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communication with and influence customers
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and productively in a remote location
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or related field
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Credit underwriting experience in Small Business Credit, Dealer Credit or Fleet Credit

Responsibilities

  • Build, strengthen, and maintain strategic relationships with dealers, fleet customers, OEM partners, and key internal stakeholders, including credit, fleet services, titles, and asset remarketing teams, to support business growth and operational alignment. (40%)
  • Develop and execute district strategies to achieve penetration targets, improve return on risk-adjusted capital objectives, and drive growth in used unit and trailer acquisitions, wholesale financing opportunities, and insurance-related income. (40%)
  • Monitor fleet deliveries and dealer inventory levels, identify missed opportunities and emerging market trends, and collect customer and market-specific data to support future marketing, pricing strategies, and program development. Review lost deal activity and dealer penetration performance to drive continuous improvement. (15%)
  • Provide actionable insights and forecasting support to dealers by leveraging internal reporting, OEM business plans, and market intelligence to inform planning and performance decisions. This role is responsible for making daily pricing decisions and assessing preliminary customer creditworthiness to support profitable growth. The District Finance Manager works closely with OEM partners, dealers, fleet and vocational customers, and cross-functional internal teams to drive business performance, deliver market insights, and provide high-quality financial solutions and service.
