About The Position

The candidate will be based in the Chicago, IL metro area, with travel of 80+%, and will report to a Dealer Audit Lead Auditor or Manager. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of dealership retail processes and procedures, with emphasis on fixed operations departments, as well as automotive technical information systems and repair/diagnostic procedures. The ideal candidate is quantitative, analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 5-7+ years of experience in Automotive (Retail) - In-depth knowledge of dealership retail processes and procedures, with emphasis on fixed operations departments.
• 5-7+ years of experience in Automotive (Technical) - In-depth knowledge of automotive technical information systems and repair/diagnostic procedures.
• Strong computer skills and highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (O365 / Online Collaboration Version)
• General understanding of the franchised dealership model
• Quantitative, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Knowledge of risk management, control objectives/activities, and automated/manual controls
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business environments and job responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of dealerships, focusing on retail processes, procedures, fixed operations, and technical information systems.
• Analyze dealership operations to identify risks and ensure compliance with controls.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Adapt to changing business environments and job responsibilities.
