About The Position

Reliance is seeking a Dealer Account Manager to join their team. This role is crucial for managing key account relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing ongoing account management to partners. The Dealer Account Manager will be responsible for resolving operational and financial obstacles, providing exceptional support, and driving sales to exceed monthly quotas and performance KPIs. This position involves monitoring market conditions, participating in industry events, and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Reliance's offerings. The role also requires active utilization of CRM software, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to work independently and as part of a sales team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of consultative sales experience within a business-to-business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to encourage and lead traditional businesses in opening their minds to new partnership and product opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect new business.
  • Proven track record of success exceeding sales quotas and sales metrics.
  • Networking and building relationships are an innate part of who you are.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field (an asset).
  • Industry knowledge and/or experience working within HVAC industry is an asset.
  • Experience CRM (MS Dynamics) or similar (Salesforce.com) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for all Key Account relationships within their territory.
  • Identify and develop new business-to-business opportunities through cold calls, face-to-face interactions, and other techniques to cultivate business partnerships.
  • Consult and engage business partners after contract signing to build strong channel development.
  • Provide account management to partners by resolving operational and financial obstacles.
  • Offer exceptional support, including training and communication of initiatives that benefit the relationship.
  • Exceed assigned monthly quotas and performance KPIs.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitors’ products, pricing, and strategies.
  • Participate in industry and customer-related events/tradeshows to network, target new prospects, and identify market opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Reliance’s Dealer value proposition, including products and services offered and the value they create.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on Dealer sales pipeline progress for forecasting and large deal implementation planning.
  • Work cross-functionally with Reliance stakeholders to facilitate business interactions for smooth business continuity.
  • Actively utilize CRM software to record sales activity and pipeline to maximize performance outcomes.
  • Work independently and as part of a sales team, completing other duties as required.
