About The Position

The Deal Desk Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex or non-standard sales deals, coordinating cross-functional alignment on deal terms, and ensuring pricing, margins, and contract risks are acceptable. Reporting to the Deal Desk Manager, this role serves as a central point of coordination for sales deal review, approval workflows, pricing discipline, margin protection, and contract risk evaluation. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to streamline approvals, strengthen deal governance, and help sales teams close deals faster while protecting Rubicon’s business interests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong experience in financial and operational modeling.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into snapshots appropriate for senior management use.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and highly responsive to a fast-changing environment.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel formulas (X-Lookups, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, reporting and building dashboards, charting/visualizations, etc.)
  • Strong operational, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of program management.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and supporting high-level strategic initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, 2+ years of relevant experience in data management and revenue analysis will be considered in place of formal education.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare complex or non-standard sales deals to ensure proposed terms meet business, pricing, margin, and risk requirements. Findings presented to Deal Desk Manager and VP, Supply Chain and Strategic Partnerships.
  • Align Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations on deal structure, pricing, contract terms, approval requirements, and execution timelines.
  • Evaluate pricing, margins, customer commitments, service requirements, and contract risks to ensure each deal is commercially sound and operationally feasible.
  • Help Sales teams close deals faster by streamlining approval processes, clarifying requirements, and removing bottlenecks in the deal review workflow.
  • Support the Deal Desk Manager as another point of contact for the company with non-standard deal submissions, escalations, and cross-functional deal review discussions.
  • Partner with leadership to provide recommendations on deal strategy, pricing exceptions, risk tradeoffs, and approval decisions.
  • Prepare and present deal analyses, recommendations, approval updates, and performance insights to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology, reporting, and workflow improvements to enhance Deal Desk operations and sales support.
  • Ability to travel and/or work onsite up to 10% on an annual basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
