The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher Consultant (TC) provides itinerant, consultative, and direct instructional services to students aged birth through 26 who are deaf or hard of hearing. The role ensures students receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). The DHH TC acts as the primary special education resource for students with hearing loss, responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), supporting classroom access through hearing assistive technology, and collaborating with families, educators, and community agencies to optimize educational outcomes.
