Requirements

Professional Educator License: Endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
Meets highly qualified requirements.
Valid TX driver’s license.
Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
Daily attendance and punctuality.
Ability to travel district-wide and adapt to diverse situations in the school environment.
Ability to pass a valid background check that allows you to work in a public school setting.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive plans aligned with curriculum goals and learner diversity.
Demonstrate expertise in hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM equipment, and audiogram interpretation.
Effectively communicate audiological information to parents, teachers, and staff.
Provide impactful in-service training for mainstream teachers and support personnel.
Collaborate with staff, including general and special education teachers, related services personnel, and nurses.
Showcase organizational skills and flexibility for effective scheduling and management of services.
Engage with families and communicate effectively.
