Requirements

  • Professional Educator License: Endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
  • Meets highly qualified requirements.
  • Valid TX driver’s license.
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Daily attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to travel district-wide and adapt to diverse situations in the school environment.
  • Ability to pass a valid background check that allows you to work in a public school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive plans aligned with curriculum goals and learner diversity.
  • Demonstrate expertise in hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM equipment, and audiogram interpretation.
  • Effectively communicate audiological information to parents, teachers, and staff.
  • Provide impactful in-service training for mainstream teachers and support personnel.
  • Collaborate with staff, including general and special education teachers, related services personnel, and nurses.
  • Showcase organizational skills and flexibility for effective scheduling and management of services.
  • Engage with families and communicate effectively.
