About The Position

Under close supervision, this part-time internship assists customers with transportation and logistics services. The intern gains exposure to transportation management principles and participates in daily operational activities. The role requires working 20–25 hours per week during the school semester.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in good standing in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited community college, college, or university.
• Able to work 20–25 hours per week during the school semester.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Junior or senior level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to and understanding of basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks, including freight planning, asset utilization, safety management, Department of Transportation compliance, driver payroll, Customer Value Delivery, logistics management and analysis, driver supervision, profit-and-loss management, and maintenance coordination.
• Gain understanding of industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention.
• Perform account-specific duties as required by the customer.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
