About The Position

The DC Trainer will be responsible for mentorship, oversight, and training for all new hires. The Trainer will work alongside new associates to teach by example and help improve productivity and efficiency, as well as help them reach their performance incentive goals. When there are multiple new hires, they will float to various areas to ensure they are checking in and spending time with each associate or group of associates. The Trainer will also be responsible for assisting with new hire orientations to allow the associates to gain real-life understanding of the job, performance, and reality of achieving the performance metrics.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Six to Twelve months prior Ollie’s experience
Must be accurate with great attention to detail
Good communication skills
Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job (powered equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done)
Must be able to meet all current productivity requirements

Responsibilities

Provide mentorship to newly hires Associates
Responsible for training new hires in all areas of distribution
Provide hands-on demonstration of job duties to new hires to assist in improved productivity, efficiency, and to achieve incentive goals
Allocate time to different departments to ensure all new hires are having a positive onboarding experience
Provide orientation support as needed, with the exception of safety training and/or Human Resources specific content
Follow all safety and housekeeping rules and procedures
Provide guidance for company policy as necessary
Participate in the job function of the assigned department when not training Associates
Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned
