This role supervises the daily work schedules of warehouse employees involved in shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, and palletizing finished products. The supervisor determines space requirements for storage and schedules delivery and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to achieve distribution objectives and meet customer requirements. They ensure maintenance of equipment, including company vehicles, in compliance with laws, and maintain a safe, clean environment, enforcing all company work and safety rules, including the proper handling and recording of hazardous materials. The supervisor monitors employee attendance, productivity, and other performance markers, providing counseling as needed. They coordinate work with warehouse and operations managers, telephone sales, and other supervisors concerning shipments, merchandise shortages, etc. Additionally, they maintain various records and reports, such as lost sales, error reports, and production reports, and recommend changes in procedures to improve operating efficiency.
