About The Position
The DC Supervisor position at JBS USA Distribution Center in Marshalltown is a full-time, exempt salaried role on the 1st shift. This role involves working closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork within each department and the plant facility. The supervisor is responsible for stimulating maximum safety, efficiency, and productivity of production workers, ensuring proper employee training, and anticipating and addressing causes of delays to meet production schedules and on-time delivery. This role also requires applying company employee relations and union contract policies, monitoring machinery and equipment maintenance and sanitation, and ensuring appropriate production records are prepared and maintained. Various other duties as needed or assigned may also be part of the role.

Responsibilities
- Promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and plant facility.
- Ensure proper training of employees.
- Anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules (on time delivery).
- Apply company employee relations and union contract policies in all dealings with employees.
- Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
- Arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained.
- Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned.
