About The Position

The DC Supervisor position at JBS USA Distribution Center in Marshalltown is a full-time, salaried, exempt role on the 3rd shift. The supervisor will work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork within each department and the plant facility. Responsibilities include stimulating maximum safety, efficiency, and productivity of production workers, ensuring proper training of employees, anticipating and addressing causes of delays to meet production schedules, applying company employee relations and union contract policies, and monitoring machinery, equipment, and facilities for proper maintenance and sanitation. The role also involves preparing and maintaining production records and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in the plant facility.
• Stimulate maximum safety, efficiency, and productivity of production workers.
• Ensure proper training of employees.
• Anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules (on time delivery).
• Apply company employee relations and union contract policies in all dealings with employees.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
• Arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained.
• Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned.
