About The Position

The DC Supervisor oversees distribution center operations in the Pork division in Marshalltown, Iowa, and works closely with production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork across departments and the plant. The supervisor supports safe, efficient, and productive operations by ensuring employees receive proper training, addressing delays, and helping meet production schedules and on-time delivery goals. The role also involves applying employee-relations and union-contract policies, monitoring equipment and facility maintenance and sanitation, maintaining production records, attending meetings, and performing other assigned duties. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with varying third-shift hours; flexibility and weekend work may be needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Supervisory skills.
• Good interpersonal relations and ability to handle conflict.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• College experience is recommended but not required.
• Ability to speak multiple languages is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work with production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and throughout the plant.
• Attend meetings as scheduled or called.
• Promote maximum safety, efficiency, and productivity among production workers and ensure proper employee training.
• Anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate action to meet production schedules and on-time delivery goals.
• Apply company employee-relations and union-contract policies when dealing with employees.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
• Arrange for appropriate production records to be prepared and maintained.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
