BroadFutures' DC Summer 2027 Internship Program is a structured internship experience designed for motivated neurodivergent young people aged 18-26. The program runs from June 7 to August 6, 2027, and combines paid internships with individualized coaching, professional training, and ongoing mentorship. Interns participate in a cohort-based experience that includes pre-program training, weekly professional development, and personalized support. Internships are matched based on each intern’s strengths, interests, and goals, with opportunities in sectors such as nonprofit organizations, hospitality, marketing and communications, policy, administration, and technology. All accepted participants are guaranteed an internship placement. The program is designed for neurodivergent young adults who are college-capable, motivated to grow professionally, and ready to gain meaningful real-world experience in a supportive environment. Internships take place in person throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The first week involves comprehensive professional training, followed by internships Monday-Thursday (20 hours total) and professional training with the cohort every Friday. Interns and employers receive both group and one-on-one support. Interns receive stipends equal to at least D.C. minimum wage, totaling approximately $2,500 over the course of the program. These are transitional work experiences, not intended to lead to full-time employment.
