About The Position
Operate a Class 8 tractor-trailer as part of the company fleet, providing safe, timely, and accurate overnight route deliveries to store locations. The position offers dedicated routes, full-pallet deliveries with low-touch freight, a modern fleet of tractors and trailers, and daily home time. The schedule is a five-day work week with no weekends. Potential first-year earnings are $80,007.41 based on average route hours; actual annual earnings may vary according to route length. Requirements
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations, logbooks, and vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and valid DOT physical status.
- Pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests.
- Possess a current Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
- Maintain the ability to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial Class 8 tractor-trailer to complete safe, timely, and accurate route deliveries in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
- Use electric pallet jacks and lift gates to load, unload, and deliver merchandise to designated store locations.
- Follow assigned routes, stops, and schedules to ensure efficient deliveries within set timeframes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain Hours of Service (HOS) logs, and comply with FMCSA regulations.
- Secure loads, vehicle doors, and alarms before and after each stop; verify deliveries and manage returned merchandise.
- Assist with various delivery routes as needed to support operational requirements.
