About The Position

This position is responsible for the safe uploading, delivery, and downloading of hard goods orders and compressed gas cylinders to customers. The driver will also return empty cylinders for refilling, maintain accurate load manifests and vehicle documents, and foster positive customer relationships by addressing their needs and ensuring appropriate stock levels. The role involves operating warehouse equipment and adhering strictly to safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One (1) year driving experience.
• CDL A or B with HAZMAT.
• Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT.
• Clean MVR driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Must be able to handle cylinders regularly weighing 150 pounds, up to a maximum of 600 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Upload, deliver, and download hard goods orders and cylinders containing compressed gases safely to customers.
• Return empty cylinders to the plant for refilling.
• Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations by communicating in person, providing information on cost, ordering, and delivery times.
• Identify and monitor customers’ needs and work with them to maintain proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
