This role helps coordinate daily work volume and staffing to achieve departmental objectives in production, quality, and safety. The coordinator communicates with the Coach and Operations Manager to ensure daily operational goals are met through effective management of people and process. They identify and foresee issues, working to resolve them appropriately as they arise. This position assigns and realigns work, particularly in the absence of the Coach. Duties may include allocation of work assignments, planning and releasing of waves, coordination of the toting process, coordinating the completion of route codes, and reassignment of team members to other roles. The coordinator partners with trainers and trainees on training/development plans and documents. They support workplace safety by helping to ensure safety-related rules and policies are observed, such as the use of PPE and proper housekeeping. This role also supports start of shift and end of shift activities/reporting, including shift recaps, production logs, and shift handoffs. The coordinator performs the department’s work as necessary and participates in special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.
